Marriage based on anything but the Word of God will find itself susceptible to emotions, feelings, and selfishness.

We find our model for marriage, how to have a healthy, God honoring marriage in the Word of God; not comparing them to our friends, family or co-workers marriage.

The plum line for our marriage is Scripture. Having marriage problems? Go back to Scripture. Time are good in your marriage? Go back to Scripture. Parenting children? Go to Scripture.

When we stop living based on our feelings, emotions and insecurities and start getting back to the Word of God, we will once again have marriages that the world can look to as an example of what a real covenant looks like.
